DOING BUSINESS

AT THE CENTER OF OPPORTUNITY

Infrastructure

Donna's strategic location in the heart of the Rio Grande Valley positions the city as a premier logistics and trade hub along the U.S.–Mexico border. At the center of this advantage is the Donna–Rio Bravo International Bridge. The city is directly served by Interstate 2, connecting businesses east to Harlingen and Brownsville and west to McAllen and Pharr, with additional access via FM 493 to the international crossing and nearby regional airports for air cargo and passenger travel.

INCENTIVES

The Donna Economic Development Corporation is committed to fostering business growth and creating a thriving local economy. Our Business Incentive Program is designed to attract new investment and expansion opportunities that will create quality jobs, capital investment, and drive long-term economic growth through sales taxes and property taxes within the city. Each project is evaluated individually and any projects that are already under construction and/or completed before submitting an application, will not be eligible for funding. Only proposed improvements will be considered. A range of incentive tools may be considered depending on the scope and impact of the project.

Through regional and state partnerships, the Donna EDC can assist with the incentive application(s) at the county and state level. Additionally, the City of Donna is designated as Foreign Trade Zone #156 and can assist with mitigating the permitting process.
